About Deceptive Cadence

Dear Sirs,

In musical theory, cadence is a formula of chords that conclude a section of music. Cadences give phrases a distinctive ending, which can, for example, indicate to the listener whether the piece is to be continued or concluded. Deceptive cadence is called deceptive, since the listener is mislead to expect a certain resolution, only to a thrown off completely by an unsuspected ending.

This blog is about those unsuspected endings, although, not in music but in marketing, business, advertising, and life.
